Description
Summary:Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) causes trouble breathing. People with COPD may use inhalers with 2 (dual therapy) or 3 medications (triple therapy [TT]). This study found that people using TT were less likely to have an episode of COPD symptom worsening compared with those using dual therapy. However, this benefit was not seen in people using these as their first treatment. People using TT also had higher treatment costs.
