In the current study, we found significant increases in aspartate transferase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), and total bilirubin, on day 1 and day 3 after LC but no significant change in alkaline phosphatase (ALKP) and PT. It is important for surgeons to know about these transient changes in the immediate postoperative period to avoid misdiagnosis and adopt proper treatment and management.
