The genome sequence of the yellow-legged black legionnaire, Beris chalybata (Forster, 1771)

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Beris chalybata (the yellow-legged black legionnaire; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Stratiomyidae). The genome sequence is 541.9 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex ch...

Description
Summary:We present a genome assembly from an individual male Beris chalybata (the yellow-legged black legionnaire; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Stratiomyidae). The genome sequence is 541.9 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.8 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 17,511 protein coding genes.
