Summary:Fungal peritonitis is a somewhat rare yet serious complication associated with peritoneal dialysis (PD). It requires prompt diagnosis and treatment to prevent unnecessary morbidity and mortality. We present an unusual presentation that highlights the consequences of delayed diagnosis and management and propose methods for improving care for patients receiving peritoneal dialysis.
