Summary: | A 58-year-old woman with hypertension and diabetes presented with a persistent annular erythema on her left thigh for more than 10 years. She had been diagnosed with tinea corporis and contact dermatitis, which did not improve after topical antifungal and glucocorticoid medications. On examination, Le et al observed a well-defined, circular area of erythema on the patient's left thigh. Dermoscopic examination showed nodular, annular, and glomerular blood vessels arranged in clusters and radially against a reddish-brown background. On the basis of these findings, they diagnosed Bowen disease, and the patient underwent surgical excision with a rotation flap. |
