Description
Summary:Phonopulmogram (PPG) is a recording of lung sounds. A method is proposed for quantification of the PPG signal in the frequency domain by the computer. Results of application of the method to PPG signal of 3 normal subjects and 6 tuberculosis patients are presented. The study shows that their frequency spectra appears to be unique, and therefore may well prove to be a promising non-invasive diagnostic tool for lung diseases. Such studies should increase the clinical importance of phonopulmography.
