When comparing DM to SFM, it was found that the overall diagnostic accuracy of both technologies in detecting breast cancer detection was similar [8, 9]. Overall it was found that using all-digital mammography in screening for breast carcinoma is not cost-effective and that age-targeted digital mammography screening is the most efficient approach when considering healthcare provisions [18].
