ApaCI, an isoschizomer of BamHI isolated from Acetobacter pasteurianus

ApaCI, type II restriction endonuclease has been isolated from Acetobacter pasteurianus species. From the results obtained, the restriction endonuclease ApaCI from Acetobacter pasteurianus strain C is an isoschizomer of BamHI.
