Heterogeneity in the 3'-portion of Papilionaceae 5S rRNAs. The primary structure of alfalfa 5S rRNA
Previously the authors have reported some differences in primary structures of plant 5S rRNAs belonging to the Papilionaceae. In order to clarify these differences they have previously sequenced lupin 5S rRNA and now they report sequence of alfalfa 5S rRNA. When the sequence of the individual 5S RNA...

Summary: | Previously the authors have reported some differences in primary structures of plant 5S rRNAs belonging to the Papilionaceae. In order to clarify these differences they have previously sequenced lupin 5S rRNA and now they report sequence of alfalfa 5S rRNA. When the sequence of the individual 5S RNAs of this genera are compared, it is seen that there is heterogeniety at the 3'-end of their structures. All Papilionaceae have adenosine as 5'-end molecule, whereas the 5S rRNAs of other higher plant species have guanosine at this position. |
