Blocking macrophage migration inhibitory factor activity alleviates mouse acute otitis media in vivo

Highlights • MIF level was increased in LPS-induced mouse AOM model. • ISO-1 had a potential role in improving the AOM mice hearing levels. • ISO-1 reduced the inflammatory reaction in mouse AOM model. • ISO-1 reduced TLR-4 levels and inhibited NF-κB activation in AOM mice.
