Description
Summary:Tularaemia is a zoonotic infection caused by Francisella tularensis.Ulceroglandular, glandular, oculoglandular, pharyngeal, typhoidal and pneumonic types are the different types of the disease. Infection of prosthetic joints occurs at an exceedingly uncommon rate. We report a case of prosthetic joint infection involving the hip with F. tularensis, which to the best of our knowledge after a thorough literature review is the second of its kind.
