Supradural inflammatory soup in awake and freely moving rats induces facial allodynia that is blocked by putative immune modulators

Highlights • Migraine facial allodynia was modeled in male rats by supradural “inflammatory soup” • Proinflammatory mRNAs increased in trigeminal n. caudalis as a result. • Facial allodynia was prevented by 3 chemically diverse glial modulatory drugs.
