Threshold value of home pulse pressure predicting arterial stiffness in patients with type 2 diabetes: KAMOGAWA‐HBP study

Description
Summary:This cross‐sectional multicenter study was designed to evaluate the threshold value of home pulse pressure (PP) and home systolic blood pressure (SBP) predicting the arterial stiffness in 876 patients with type 2 diabetes. We measured the area under the receiver‐operating characteristic curve (AUC) and estimated the ability of home PP to identify arterial stiffness using Youden‐Index defined cut‐off point. The arterial stiffness was measured using the brachial‐ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV). AUC for arterial stiffness in morning PP was significantly greater than that in morning SBP (P
