THE ROLE OF BONE MARROW miRNA IN ERYTHROPOIETIC DYSFUNCTION FOLOWING SEVERE TRAUMA

Assessment of the bone marrow miRNA profile in trauma patients compared to those undergoing elective hip replacement revealed the differential expression of miR-150, miR-223, miR-15a, and miR-24. These miRNAs all play a role in decreased erythroid progenitor cell growth and provide important insight...

Description
Summary:Assessment of the bone marrow miRNA profile in trauma patients compared to those undergoing elective hip replacement revealed the differential expression of miR-150, miR-223, miR-15a, and miR-24. These miRNAs all play a role in decreased erythroid progenitor cell growth and provide important insight to the erythropoietic dysfunction seen after trauma.
