Summary: | Schreyer asserts that he will pull his sleeves down to cover the scars that mark his resilience. When he will be asked why he wants to be a doctor, he will glaze over his past and simply say that he was sick as a child. He will let them write their own story, creating a protagonist who fights cancer or slays the dragons of diabetes. When they ask him why he is an avid mental-health advocate, he will say that he had family members who struggled with their mental health. He will edit his story for the interview, cutting out four years of his life. He will spread his wings but never tell the truth about how he learned to crawl. |
