Summary:The diagnosis and treatment of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs), or cavernomas, continues to evolve as more data and treatment modalities become available. Intervention is necessary when a lesion causes symptomatic neurologic deficits, seizures, or has high risk of continued hemorrhage.
