Summary: | Molecularly imprinted polymers were prepared using a protein-conjugated disulfide cleavable monomer. After removing the protein by disulfide reduction, a thiol-reactive fluorophore was introduced into the thiol residue located only inside the imprinted cavity, resulting in specific transduction of the binding events into fluorescence spectral change.
Fluorescent reporter molecules were introduced into an imprinted cavity selectively by a site-specific post-imprinting modification. |
