(KDP) is demonstrated. CdTe/CdS QDs were synthesized in water solution, followed with incorporation into an inorganic salt by the method of slow evaporation of water under ambient conditions. The resulting KDP:CdTe/CdS composites are new types of solid-state conversion materials with emission colors covering green to red spectral regions. In this paper, we report the optical and electrical properties of KDP:CdTe/CdS composites. The composites exhibit anisotropic photoluminescence properties, and due to the protection of the tight matrix, good thermal and chemical stability.
