Summary:A layered cathode for K-ion storage was achieved using electrochemical ion-exchange. It delivers a large specific capacity, superior rate performance and excellent cycling performance. Interestingly, it was found from the GITT results that the K ion diffusion coefficients were above 10 −12 cm 2 s −1 , comparable with that of Na-ion in the layered structure. A layered cathode for K-ion storage was achieved using electrochemical ion-exchange.
