Indium() {2}-metallacryptates assembled from 2,6-dipicolinoyl-bis(,-diethylthiourea)
Reactions of 2,6-dipicolinoylbis( N , N -diethylthiourea), H 2 L py , InCl 3 , MCl salts (M = Rb + , K + , Na + or NH 4 + ) and NEt 3 in methanol give cationic {2}-metallacryptates of the composition [M⊂{In 2 (L py ) 3 }] + (M + = Rb + , K + , Na + or NH 4 + ). They can be isolated as PF 6 − salts....

{2}-Metallacryptates are constructed from the self-assembly of 2,6-dipicolinoylbis(
N

N
-diethylthiourea) ligands and mixtures of indium(
