Description
Summary:Magnetic MoS 2 quantum dot (CuFeO 2 /polydopamine (PDA)/MoS 2 ) was prepared through a facile and convenient method. The structure and texture of the as-prepared catalyst were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) techniques. CuFeO 2 /PDA/MoS 2 was found to be a highly active photocatalyst for the α-methoxymethylation and aminomethylation of aromatic ketones by using methanol as a green C1 source under visible-light irradiation at room temperature. The photocatalyst could be recovered by magnetic separation and successfully reused for 5 cycles without considerable loss of catalytic activity. Magnetic MoS 2 quantum dots are designed and applied as an efficient photocatalyst for the α-methoxymethylation and aminomethylation of aromatic ketones using methanol as a green C1 source in air under visible-light irradiation at room temperature.
