Summary:ABSTRACT Objective: evaluating the effectiveness of an educational technology in video format on the knowledge of family caregivers about home bathing of term newborns. Method: a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental, single-group, before-and-after design, carried out between February and June 2023, in the Rooming-in Unit of a municipal hospital located in the coastal lowlands of Rio de Janeiro State.
