Summary: | The effect of nanodisperse powders on the microstructure and properties of corundum was studied. The microstructures of composites under different modes of electroconsolidation are considered. The phase composition and some mechanical properties of the composite materials obtained by the electrosintering method were determined. A comparative assessment of the properties is provided and recommendations are formulated for further improvement of the physical and mechanical properties of Al2O3–SiC composites, where silicon carbide nanopowders are used as additives. |
