Set of coils for measuring differential magnetization perpendicular to the magnetic field of a superconducting solenoid

A set of coils for measuring differential magnetization perpendicular to an external dc magnetic field, provided by a superconducting solenoid of axial access, is described. Test measurements with the external field parallel to the easy axis of the antiferromagnetic MnCl24H2O are shown.
