Electropolishing the bore of metal capillary tubes: A technique for adjusting the critical flow
A technique has been developed for electropolishing the bore of metal capillary tubes. Although developed specifically for stainless‐steel tubes, the technique should be directly applicable to other metals. Summary: | A technique has been developed for electropolishing the bore of metal capillary tubes. Although developed specifically for stainless‐steel tubes, the technique should be directly applicable to other metals. Tubes with inside diameter as small as 0.20 mm and 110 mm long have been successfully electropolished. The electropolishing technique can be used to increase the critical flow of a capillary tube in a controllable way. |
