Summary:Asteroseismology offers an opportunity for examination and detailed understanding of the internal structure of stars by probing their pulsating modes. To obtain reliable results by asteroseismology, accurate atmospheric parameters and metallicities of pulsating stars are required. Hence, in this study we carried out a spectroscopic survey of 8 single δ Scuti stars in detail. The accurate atmospheric parameters (effective temperature, surface gravity), projected rotational velocities and the metallicities of these stars were derived.
