Summary: | The problem of evaluating the fatigue life of a cylindrical 09G2S steel sample under uniaxial tension-compression loading is solved numerically. The comparison of the durability numerical simulation results with the experimental results, made with the use of a high-frequency testing machine, demonstrates their convergence before the macrocrack formation stage recorded by the optical method. The further growth of the fatigue crack is monitored by dynamic laser speckle-interferometry. The obtained data allow us to conclude on the possibility of a complex assessment of fatigue failure, which consists in calculating the stage of scattered damage accumulation and monitoring the macrocrack formation and the kinetics of macrocrack growth. |
