Description
Summary:In this report, we describe a low-cost fabrication process for highly sensitive SERS substrate by using thermal evaporation technique. The SERS substrate structure consists of silver nanoparticles deposited on monolayer, bilayer and few layer graphene. The fabricated SERS substrates are investigated by field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM), and confocal Raman spectroscope. From the surface morphology we have verified that the fabricated SERS substrate consist of high-density of silver nanoparticles with their size distribution varies from 10 to 150 nm. The surface-enhanced Raman scattering activities of these nanostructures is highest for monolayer graphene.
