Description
Summary:Dyes effluent has been considered as the major environmental issues recently. In this work, hydrotalcite-like material (ZnAl LDH) have been successfully prepared and applied as a benign adsorbent material for congo red and direct violet dye removal from aqueous solution. The adsorption process was fully conducted in batch adsorption method. The effect of some operational parameter such as contact time, initial dye concentration, and adsorption temperature was systematically investigated. The results showed that the adsorption of congo red and direct violet onto ZnAl LDH was followed the pseudo-adsorption kinetics model. Furthermore, the adsorption isotherm and adsorption thermodynamic analysis showed that the adsorption process occurred in multilayer system and the whole process occurred spontaneously.
