A comparative investigation of mechanical properties of the ferritic-martensitic steel EK-181 in the temperature range 700–800°C after high-temperature thermomechanical and traditional heat treatments
The results of a comparative investigation of mechanical properties of low-activated 12% chromium ferritic-martensitic steel EK-181 at the temperatures 700–800°C after high-temperature thermomechanical treatment (TMT) and traditional heat treatment (THT) are presented. It is shown that at high tempe...

description | The results of a comparative investigation of mechanical properties of low-activated 12% chromium ferritic-martensitic steel EK-181 at the temperatures 700–800°C after high-temperature thermomechanical treatment (TMT) and traditional heat treatment (THT) are presented. It is shown that at high temperatures the TMT leads to an increase in the strength properties of the steel relative to the THT. The character of the temperature dependence of strength properties in this range (700–800°C) is found to be similar to that at lower temperatures (500–700°C). After annealing at T = 800°C for 1 hour the processes of transformation of the ferritic-martensitic structure after THT, which increases the average ferritic grain size, are more active than those after TMT. |
