Description
Summary:This work focused to predict and evaluate the performance and emission analysis on variable compression ratio using biodiesel blends and compared with standard diesel. The experiment is designed using deign of experiments by considering injection pressure, load, biodiesel blends and supercharging as input variables. The experiments are conducted based on design matrix and evaluated with response surface methodology (RSM). The performance and emission parameters such as brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption, carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbon and Nitrogen oxides emission are predicted using response methodology. The correlation between the predicted and experimental values has good agreement with its input parameters. The predicted response has good relationship with its factors over wide range applications. The RSM is an efficient tool to resolve complex and multivariate problem in experimental design and reduces the cost and time of the experiment.
