Investigation of the impact of structural gaps on the hydrodynamics of the flow shell and tube heat exchanger

The article presents the results of CFD-modeling in the shell space of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger with various structural elements (partitions, anti-bypass strips). The influence of structural gaps on hydrodynamics was studied. It is shown that structural gaps worsen heat transfer.
