Description
Summary:In an aqueous solution by reduction with ascorbic acid, a material based on graphene oxide containing nanoparticles of copper and its oxides was obtained. The resulting material were studied using atomic-force microscopy and UV-vis spectroscopy. The influence graphene oxide-based composite on friction reduction in steel-steel tribosystem was investigated. Lubricant compositions with 0.05 wt.% composite in paraffin oil were obtained. It is found that the synthesized material promotes to friction coefficient decreasing from ∼0.07 (pure lube oil) to ∼0.03.
