Summary: | This paper deals with simulations of reacting flow filed in combustion chambers which are designed for application in small jet engines. A segregated algorithm is used in these simulations. This algorithm is based on the splitting of the computational domain between reacting and non-reacting part and is designed for reduction of computational time due to optimization of the computational model in non-reacting part. A module for heat transfer in a solid region has been implemented into this algorithm to allow detail study of wall cooling. Application of algorithm is shown in the case of combustion of liquid fuels in the combustion chamber which was developed at Czech Aerospace Research Centre. |
