Summary: | We present fabrication of a low-cost surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate. A composite graphene oxide (GO) decorated Ag nanodendrites (AgNDs) on the copper substrate has been prepared using a simple galvanic replacement of silver nitrate solution over copper foil and further spin coating it with GO. Graphene oxide serves as a protecting thin layer, avoiding the oxidation of AgNDs for highly sensitive and stable SERS applications. The sensitive SERS detection of Methylene blue (MB) is achieved as low as 10−7 M on rGO/AgNDs and 10−6 M on bare AgNDs. |
