Summary: | The preliminary results of theoretical and experimental range estimations for Multifunctional X-ray Navigation System (MXNS) at a precipitation and other conditions are presented. The most difficult case is the complex X-ray attenuation (up to 98%) by atmosphere, heavy rain, “brownout” or “whiteout”, an aircraft skin and icing up. Derived from analysis of the precipitation and other conditions information the some phantoms have been designed for test-bench experiments. The experimental test-bench results were confirmed calculations of X-ray attenuation in the propagation medium. The experimental results obtained lead to the following MXNS's researches in real conditions. |
