Summary: | Room temperature humidity sensing performance of polypyrrole/chromium oxide (PCO) composite has been investigated in the relative humidity (RH) range 11-97%. The composite has been prepared by mixing chemically synthesized polypyrrole (PPy) with chromium oxide (Cr2O3). Structural and morphological characterization of the composite was investigated by FTIR and SEM techniques. Maximum sensing response of 98% with response time of 110s and recovery time of 90 s was recorded in case of composite. Stable humidity sensing response was also seen in case of the sample over a period of two months. |
