Summary: | The possibility of using Purolite C-160 ion exchange resin for separation of La and Ce by the method of size-exclusion chromatography was studied. The saturation of the resin in NH4+ form should be carried out from sulfuric acid solutions at pH 2.5. The exchange capacity value of the resin at full saturation was 35.82 kg La/m3 and 38.37 kg Ce/m3. The chromatography could be carried out by use of Fe3+ as ion-moderator and EDTA solution as eluent (0.015 M, pH 8.0). |
