Description
Summary:In this work, the process of burning diesel fuel in a laboratory sample of an evaporation burner device with adjustable air supply to the reaction zone was experimentally investigated. The data were obtained about the influence of airflow parameters (flow rate and temperature) on the main indicators: flame temperature, heat generation, a composition of combustion products. The results are compared with the combustion regimes using a jet of superheated steam. It was shown that airflow, unlike steam flow, does not significantly affect the content of CO and NOx in the combustion products, which limits the ability to control the environmental performance of liquid fuel combustion. In terms of NOx concentration, the combustion regime with air supply corresponds to the worst indicators of the combustion regime with steam supply.
