Summary:In the current scenario, the scarcity of fossil fuels has been increased drastically which in turn led to the scientists to develop the alternate fuels, one of the most credible way for replacing the scarcity of petro diesel. The present experimental investigation has been carried out on Kirloskar single cylinder VCR research engine. This article review on comprehensive indication of the performance and emission characteristics of sunflower seed oil and sesame oil blended with diesel. Various blends were prepared with sesame oil and sunflower seed oil for the research in depth carried out to make use as effective alternate fuels. As a result biodiesel prepared from ayurvedic seed oil showed as a reliable alternate fuel for the CI engine.
