Description
Summary:A technique is proposed for determining the characteristics of long-period fluctuations in the design of the International Space Station by analyzing the displacement of the scientific equipment axis of view relative to the calculated position when observing the earth’s surface from the Russian segment. The technique makes it possible to identify long- period oscillations against the background of "noise" caused by high-frequency oscillations and measurement errors, as well as long-term trends associated with a change in station orientation. The study was performed as part of the implementation of the first stage of the Pelican space experiment to test the technology of wireless energy transfer in space. Processing the results of measurements made in the sessions of the experiment allowed us to determine the maximum values of the amplitudes and angular velocities of the displacement of the axis of sight in order to clarify the requirements for the guidance system of scientific equipment used in the subsequent experiment stages.
