Summary: | The present analytical work addresses the thermal performance of the louvered finned solar air heater. The research consists of a calculation of thermal and effective efficiency based on louvered finned solar air heater. In comparison to the results achieved, the effectiveness of louvered finned solar air heater has been assessed by rectangular fin and plane solar air heater. The thermal performance of louvered finned solar air heater is high in all operating conditions, but its effective efficiency is rising from 32.53% to optimum value 75.98% with increase in mass flow rate 0.0083kg/s-0.05kg/s, then decreases with further rise in mass flow rate. This is due to the increased pressure drop at a higher mass flow rate. |
