Probabilities of neutron transfer to single-particle levels in the reaction 181Ta(18O, 19O) at near-barrier energies

This paper presents the theoretical analysis of neutron transfer mechanism for the reaction 181Ta(18O, 19O) at energies 81.86 and 90.05 MeV in the center of mass system. Numerical solution of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation is used for studying neutron transfer processes. The evolution of th...

Description
Summary:This paper presents the theoretical analysis of neutron transfer mechanism for the reaction 181Ta(18O, 19O) at energies 81.86 and 90.05 MeV in the center of mass system. Numerical solution of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation is used for studying neutron transfer processes. The evolution of the wave function for the neutron from the uppermost occupied single-particle neutron level of the 181Ta nucleus is determined. The dynamics of neutron transfer process is described and the probabilities of occupation of initially unoccupied single-particle neutron levels of the 18O nucleus are determined.
