Description
Summary:This paper observes the possibility of compressive strength enhancement of the modified mortar by using (SBR) latex as a replacement material of water by weight. (SBR) one of the polymeric materials used recently for producing modified mortar due to the flexibility and fluidity properties. Two main stages were approached for preparing the mixes, adding constant ratio of superplastizer by 25% as a replacement of water, additionally, adding combination of three different ratios (25,30 and 40)% respectively as the weight of water and superplastizer by constant ratio. The compressive strength for (M2) were increased slightly compared with mixes of superplastizer only (M1). Also, the compressive strength enhanced for (M2, M3) by compared with control mix (M1). The (SBR) latex improved both of flowability and compressive strength of the modified concrete, on the other hand, the results give an indicator about the optimum ratio can be used in modified mortar..
