Summary:In this study the effect of laser on human blood was investigated. Helium neon and Nedium Yag laser were used to exposed the samples with two stages exposure time (5 and 10 min). An increment in the number of erythrocytes by exposure to both types of lasers was observed. While white blood cells and thrombocytopenia decreased when exposed to a laser beam. Hemoglobin concentration (Hb), compressed cell volume (PCV) and level of erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) were calculated before and after exposure to laser beams. The results show an increase in Hb, ESR and PCV. The effects of laser power and exposure time on the blood were also studied.
