Summary: | A technique for the synthesis of the diffraction radiation antenna aperture, based on a rigorous electrodynamics model of a dielectric waveguide surface wave scattering on a periodic comb grating, is described. The search for the optimal aperture parameters is based on a genetic algorithm. Maximum antenna efficiency in a given frequency bandwidth for a fixed direction of radiation is used as an optimization criterion. The possibility of ensuring effective operation of the antenna in an extended frequency band is shown. |
