Summary: | In this paper compositions based on isotactic polypropylene with the addition of nucleating agents based on pimelic acid are obtained. The composition of the prepared materials was confirmed by IR spectroscopy, and the surface properties of the samples were studied by determining the water contact angles. The supramolecular structure of the materials was characterized by differential scanning calorimetry and wide-angle X-ray diffraction analysis. It is shown that the addition of nucleating agents leads to the β-phase formation in polypropylene in the case of slow cooling of the polymer, and in the case of rapid cooling (quenching), the formation of a smectic mesophase is observed. |
