Summary: | Due to the decrease in specific water consumption and the transition of many industrial enterprises to waterless and circulating water supply systems, thousands of kilometers of networks and structures have stopped operating or are operating in suboptimal and irrational operation modes. Therefore, the complex tasks of reconstruction and preservation of networks and structures with their decommissioning become the most urgent and obvious. Solving these problems requires improving the existing design methodology and substantiating prospective schemes for water supply and sewerage systems. In the paper, based on the minimum cost maximum flow approach, we propose to solve this problem by decommissioning individual sections of the network and structures that improve the high-speed operation mode of other pipelines and ensure the operation modes of pumping stations with the highest efficiency. It is proposed to replace the pipeline sections, where the life cycle costs will exceed the permissible limits, by road transport. The above method allows identifying ineffective sections of the network and decommission or replace them with road transport and at the same time improving the high- speed operation mode of other pipeline sections of the network and bringing the operation of pumping stations to the mode with the highest efficiency. |
