Description
Summary:This paper investigates performance of a new heating element recommended for use in underfloor heating system. This element has the property of self-regulation and is made using mesh-screen-printing technology. The self-regulating effect of the heating element is provided by the homogenization of graphite (carbon black) and metallic (Ni3B) powders with a polymer binder. For field studies, a stand was made that simulates a living room in a rural area. The parameters of thermal comfort were assessed by the method of O. Fanger. The experiments carried out prove the effectiveness of using self-regulating heating elements in conjunction with other space heating systems. When using self- regulating heating elements, external control devices are not required. Energy savings should be approximately 10%.
