Description
Summary:The method of coordinate conversion is still considered important and laborious due to the shift from the spatial ellipsoidal (geographic) to the flat planned system. Using the most common transformation system which is the universal transfer Mercator (UTM), UTM has main falls that the actual position will be shifting if lies between two different zones. The problem was solved by using the simplified flat model to get a high accuracy as mentioned in the previous paper (Simplified Flat Coordinate Model for Northern Parts of Arabian Gulf). The goal of this research to shows the effect of the polynomial parameters on the accuracy of the transformation process using a simplified flat model, which will be applied for both zones 38and 39. The attained results indicated that The effect of the parameters can be showed very clear depending on the error rate of transformation as in the average error rate in the 4th order polynomial for zone 38 were the average error rate 16.7m easting and 1.8 northing to become an average easting0.200m and 0.001m northing for 7th order polynomial at zone 38, the same thing goes to zone39 looking at average error rate for 4th order polynomial is that 2.59m easting and 1.3m northing while the average error rate for 7th order polynomial is that 0.018m easting and 0.001m northing.
